Welcome to Healthy Happy Paws
Hi I’m Mel, a dog Mum to two fun-loving cavoodles, Soda and Poppy (aka Sodapop!)
During the week I work my corporate job and on the weekends I run a dog grooming business from my home. I specialise in grooming all kinds of Oodles – cavoodles, spoodles, moodles as well as any dog breed that needs regular clipping.
I’ve started this blog to share home grooming tips with other dog mums and dads out there. Having two dogs that need regular grooming can get expensive, which is one of the reasons I decided to get my Certificate III in Pet Grooming. I hope to teach you how to maintain your dog between grooms, which might even allow you to push out their regular groom a little longer or prevent them from coming home from the groomers with the dreaded shave (unless you like them shaved).
I’ll also share my favourite dog treat recipes, health and wellbeing advice, DIY projects, product reviews and more.
Poppy
My two year old Poppy is a happy-go-lucky cheeky puppy who often steals her sister’s food and chews her ears. She cries whenever I go inside a shop and hides under the coffee table when it’s time to go for a walk. She likes to eat dirt and army-crawls across my shaggy rug to rub her belly.
Soda
My first born Soda is four years old but she acts like an old lady. She’s a bit anxious and gets scared of loud noises, like me frequently dropping the TV remote. She likes to bark at anyone walking past the house, she’s a slow, slow walker and she prefers to hang out with humans instead of dogs.
Sodapop
I can’t resist showing off more cute photos of my two cheeky monkeys; Soda and Poppy. What can I say, I’m a proud Fur Mum :)

Some of my furry friends
I’ve been running my own dog grooming business from home for three years now. I mostly groom cavoodles, with the exception of a few furry friends I can’t resist grooming.
